PDO Thread Lift (Full / Lower face, chin, Jowls, neck)

A Instant Result of Face Lifting

The PDO Thread Lift is a non-surgical facelift alternative to cosmetic surgery that targets sagging skin and combats symptoms of aging. It is designed to offer an instant facelifting result with minimal downtime.

The PDO Thread Lift is a treatment which lifts and tightens sagging skin tissue by using threads made of Polydioxanone (PDO) which naturally boosts collagen production to give skin a healthy glow.

The threads can be introduced into the deeper layers of the skin to provide the following three effects in the skin:

  • Instant skin lifting via mechanical effects

  • Cellular Renewal through collagen stimulation

  • Skin tightening by contracting fat tissue

There are two types of PDO threads with various lift techniques that can be used either combined or separately. “Cogged threads” have tiny barbs on the entire thread to gather subcutaneous tissue to lift cheeks

and sagging skin through building new collagen to regain elasticity naturally. In this way, the new collagen will secure the lift and offer the lift a long lasting result.

The “Smooth threads” are smaller than the barbed sutures and they are placed under skin vertically and horizontally to create a mesh, this will serve as foundation for new collagen production. The outcomes appear naturally and gradually to improve fine lines and firm the skin.

The regenerating effect of stimulated collagen production continues after the sutures have dissolved for extended benefits beyond the tightening and lift effects of the PDO Thread Lift. The PDO Thread lift is an ideal treatment to combat loose and sagging skin on the face and jowls.

Results are immediately apparent after treatment and may last as long as 18 months. With regular treatments over a few years, as your muscles get ‘re-trained’, clients find they require less frequent top ups.

What expectations after PDO treatment

About 6 months of the procedure, the PDO threads start to disappear through simple hydrolysis (they are absorbable). The lifted facial contours will remain for about 3-6 months more, due to the cellular rejuvenation effects. Your skin cells are stimulated by producing new collagen and blood vessels to improve skin microcirculation. At the same time, the PDO threads induce the fat tissue to contract, producing a skin tightening and facial slimming effect.

The procedure takes 15-30 minutes, depending on the areas treated. Usually after 9-18 months needs to porform new PDO streads again depending on how the skin looks.
